Billboard brought together the most powerful voices in the Latin music industry for the 2025 Billboard Latin Power Players event, held at the elegant Casadonna Miami. As part of Billboard Latin Music Week, this exclusive gathering honored the executives, artists, and visionaries shaping the global Latin music landscape with an evening of awards, inspiration, and celebration.
Honoring the Powerhouses Behind Latin Music’s Global Success
The night began with a stylish cocktail reception before transitioning into an award ceremony recognizing this year’s top executives and record labels driving Latin music’s ongoing evolution.
Among the night’s standout honorees:
- Ángel Kaminsky (President, Universal Music Latin Entertainment) and Ana Martínez (GM, Fono) took home the Regional Mexican Airplay Label of the Year, presented by Colombian artist Ela Taubert.
- George Prajin and Peso Pluma, co-founders of Double P Records, received the Regional Mexican Albums Label of the Year from Leila Cobo, Billboard’s Chief Content Officer for Latin/Español.
Peso Pluma shared heartfelt words: “It’s an honor to receive this award alongside this great man, who is like a father to me. We’ve built Double P Records as a team, giving opportunities to artists who truly deserve that chance.” - Noah Assad, CEO and co-founder of Rimas Entertainment, accepted the Hot Latin Songs Label of the Year award, also presented by Cobo.
Assad expressed his gratitude: “Thank God, my wife, and this amazing team who’s been with me for years. Everything we’ve dreamed of, achieved, and have yet to accomplish, we do it together.”
He also took a moment to recognize Nir Seroussi, who later received the night’s top executive honor:
“Nir is a mentor and one of the few people I can count on day and night. He’s a teacher and a counselor. I honor him tonight.”
Nir Seroussi Named Latin Executive of the Year
One of the night’s most emotional moments came when Nir Seroussi, Executive Vice President of Interscope Capitol, was named Latin Executive of the Year. The award was presented by John Janick (CEO, Interscope Records), J Balvin, and Xavi.
In his acceptance speech, Seroussi reflected on his journey and expressed deep gratitude to his wife, Sandra:
“She’s the real executive of the year the one who tells me what I need to hear, not what I want to. My name may be on the award, but this belongs to the entire team. The ones who turn ideas into reality and keep this movement alive.”
Sony Music Dominates with Multiple Wins
Sony Music Publishing was awarded Publishing Corporation of the Year, presented to president and CEO Jorge Mejía by Leila Cobo.
Alex Gallardo, president of Sony Music Latin, accepted the award for Label of the Year in Top Latin Albums, presented by Colombian superstar Kapo. Sony also earned wins across multiple categories, including:
