Colombian artist Hamilton, affectionately known as “Afrorockstar” unveils his highly anticipated debut album Afrorockstar, a vibrant fusion of Afrobeat, Caribbean rhythms, and bold urban flair that cements his rise in Latin music.

Born in Cartagena in 1999, Hamilton first turned heads in 2019 with the hit “Morena”, a track that merged Afro-Caribbean vibes with contemporary urbano and amassed over 30 million streams. His debut EP, Los Reyes del Mar (2024), paid homage to his coastal roots with standout tracks like Ibiza and Madrid.

His subsequent collaborations, “A Poca Luz” with Ryan Castro and “Atardecer” alongside Lenny Tavárez and Justin Quiles, showcased his versatility and helped establish him as a rising force within the Latin urban scene.

Released August 28, 2025, Afrorockstar spans 21 tracks over ~55 minutes, released via Cigol Music Group in partnership with Elevate Records. This project is packed with energetic beats, emotional storytelling, and electrifying collaborations:

  • “La Ruta” featuring Farruko
  • “4LIFE” with Ryan Castro
  • “Tus Labios” with Héctor Nazza
  • “Mi Reina” featuring Nanpa Básico (also performed acoustically in a Grammy Global Spin session)
  • The viral single “Besitos Dulces” (find on TikTok and Spotify’s Viral Latino playlists)
  • “Chalala” with De La Ghetto, a standout collaboration on the album

The album reflects Hamilton’s artistic and personal evolution, combining rhythmic Afrobeat, introspective lyrics, and dance-inducing melodies.

Described as “a production marked by lots of beats and an artistic and personal evolution,” Afrorockstar marks a pivotal moment in Hamilton’s journey. His acoustic rendition of Mi Reina alongside Nanpa Básico on GRAMMY.com showcased his ability to blend intimacy with Afro‑Colombian soul in a stripped-down form.
