Premios Juventud 2025 has announced two major honorees: Colombian music legend Carlos Vives and global urban superstar Myke Towers will be recognized as this year’s “Agentes de Cambio” for their extraordinary commitment to social impact, cultural preservation, and community development across Latin America.
The ceremony, airing Thursday, September 25 at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT live from Panama City, will be broadcast on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, and ViX. This year’s edition also celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month, highlighting Latin America’s rich culture and global influence.
Carlos Vives will be honored for his decades-long work uplifting communities through his Fundación Tras La Perla, which focuses on education, environmental sustainability, and cultural preservation in Santa Marta, Colombia. The foundation places special emphasis on protecting Afro-Colombian and Indigenous heritage, working toward an inclusive and resilient social model that inspires future generations.
Myke Towers is being recognized for his transformative work with the Young Kingz Foundation, dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities in Puerto Rico and Latin America.
Key achievements include:
- Restoring seven boxing gyms in San Juan (2024).
- Launching the Quintana Soccer Club in 2025, a pilot program combining soccer training, nutrition, and youth development.
- Expanding sports and education programs in partnership with DV7 Group in Puerto Rico, Spain, New York, and Latin America.
- Providing scholarships, supporting international tournaments, hosting clinics with legendary players, and creating the Quintana Champions League, a youth tournament broadcast live.
In addition to their honors, both artists will deliver unforgettable performances:
- Carlos Vives will take the stage with Grupo Niche for the first-ever salsa version of his anthem “La Tierra del Olvido.” The collaboration, with arrangements by the legendary Sergio George, promises to be one of the most impactful moments of the night.
- Myke Towers returns to Premios Juventud with a medley of his latest hits, including “Degenere” and tracks from his new album Island Boyz such as “Soleao,” “Expectativas,” and “Tengo Celos.”
