Wisin is taking fans back to school, but this class is built around reggaeton.
The Puerto Rican star will bring La Universidad del Perreo to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on Friday, November 13, 2026, for a one-night-only concert designed to turn the Choliseo into one massive dance floor. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketera, with prices starting at $20.
The rollout has leaned heavily into the concert’s playful university concept. Anticipation began with a teaser featuring Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006, asking Wisin for perreo lessons alongside Dayanara Torres and La Burbu, setting up the “Universidad” theme before the concert was formally announced.
But behind the campaign is a concept closely connected to Wisin’s place in reggaeton history. For more than two decades, his music has been tied to the high-energy, dance-floor-driven side of Puerto Rican urbano, first as part of Wisin & Yandel and throughout his solo career. Building an arena show around perreo allows Wisin to tap directly into that legacy rather than treating the concert as simply another career-spanning performance.
That distinction matters at the Choliseo. Puerto Rico remains reggaeton’s cultural home base, and an arena concept centered explicitly on perreo positions the show as both a celebration of the genre’s roots and a reminder of Wisin’s longevity within it. As newer generations continue reshaping urbano, veteran artists such as Wisin occupy a unique position: they can connect the genre’s foundational era with an audience that now spans multiple generations.
The accessible pricing is also part of the strategy. Tickets for La Universidad del Perreo will begin at $20, framed as “student pricing” that extends the university theme beyond the concert’s marketing and into the ticketing itself.
Rather than distancing himself from the sound and energy that helped define his career, Wisin appears to be leaning directly into it. The concept turns nostalgia into something active: not simply revisiting classic reggaeton, but placing its dance culture at the center of a contemporary arena experience.
For Puerto Rico fans, there will only be one opportunity to attend this particular “class.” La Universidad del Perreotakes over the Coliseo de Puerto Rico on Friday, November 13, with tickets going on sale Tuesday, October 6 at 10:00 a.m. through Ticketera.
