Becky G is heading to Miami for Billboard Latin Music Week 2026, joining this year’s programming for an exclusive Superstar Q&A as she enters another significant stage of a career increasingly defined by her ability to move between markets without abandoning her cultural identity.

The conversation will take place during Billboard Latin Music Week, scheduled for October 19–22 at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach. Her addition comes shortly after the release of her fifth studio album, Baraja Bendita, which debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Latin Pop Albums chart.

The timing also places Becky G at Latin Music Week during an awards-season moment. She is among the songwriters nominated for Song of the Year at the 2026 Latin GRAMMY Awards for Santana’s “Mi Gran Amor,” alongside Edgar Barrera, Luis Miguel Gómez Castaño, Manuel Lorente, Daniel Rondón and Carlos Santana.

That combination makes her appearance more than a retrospective conversation about an established crossover career. Becky G is arriving with a current body of work while continuing to expand the songwriting side of her résumé.

Since breaking through in the mid-2010s, the Mexican-American singer has built a career that has rarely stayed within a single category. Pop, urbano and collaborations helped establish her international reach, but her recent projects have placed greater emphasis on the Mexican side of her musical identity.

ESQUINAS, released in 2023, represented a particularly important shift in that direction, bringing música mexicana closer to the center of her recording career. She followed that project with ENCUENTROS before moving into the latest Baraja Bendita chapter.

That progression matters because Becky G’s recent evolution has not operated like a conventional genre pivot. Rather than leaving Latin pop behind to pursue música mexicana, she has increasingly treated both as parts of the same artistic identity. Baraja Bendita reaching the Top Latin Pop Albums chart reinforces the breadth of that positioning: her Mexican-American perspective is becoming less of a separate chapter and more of the connective tissue across her catalog.

Her Superstar Q&A also fits the broader role Billboard Latin Music Week has played in bringing artists and executives together to discuss the business and cultural direction of Latin music. The 2026 edition is being organized around the theme of global consolidation, an idea particularly relevant to an artist whose career has developed across English- and Spanish-language markets, U.S. pop culture and Latin music.

For Becky G, the conversation arrives after more than a decade of navigating those intersections. Beyond recording, she has extended her profile into film, fashion and advocacy, while major performances including Coachella and the Academy Awards have placed her on stages beyond the traditional Latin music ecosystem.

Her 2024 Oscars performance of “The Fire Inside,” from Flamin’ Hot, illustrated that reach. Now, the Latin GRAMMY Song of the Year nomination for “Mi Gran Amor” puts renewed attention on another dimension of her career: songwriting. Unlike artist-centered categories, Song of the Year specifically recognizes the writers behind a composition, making the nomination notable within the broader evolution of her creative profile.

The industry significance is also in the longevity. Becky G emerged during an era when “crossover” was still frequently framed as Latin artists moving toward the English-language mainstream. Her current career reflects a different marketplace, one in which an artist can deepen ties to Mexican music, remain commercially active in Latin pop and maintain a global-facing brand without treating those identities as competing strategies.

Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 will bring that discussion into a larger lineup featuring artists and executives from across Latin pop, urbano, salsa, música mexicana and other corners of the industry. The event runs October 19–22 in Miami Beach and coincides with the Billboard Latin Music Awards on October 22.

For Becky G, Miami will be another stop in an active Baraja Bendita era, but the more compelling story is the career architecture behind it. More than a decade after her breakthrough, she is no longer proving that she can move between worlds. She is increasingly showing that those worlds can exist within the same artistic identity.
