Ryan Castro has reached a new level in his U.S. touring career. The Colombian star sold out Madison Square Garden in one day for his December 12 stop on the Los Chorros Con Richy Tour, giving him one of the clearest signs yet of how quickly his audience has expanded in the United States.

The New York show will be followed by another major arena date at Miami’s Kaseya Center on December 19. Presented by The Touring Co., the two December concerts bring Castro’s annual Richy alter ego to U.S. stages as he closes out a pivotal 2026.

What makes the Madison Square Garden sellout particularly significant is the path Castro took to get there.

His New York-area progression has unfolded almost year by year: Palladium Times Square in 2023, Prudential Center in 2024, Barclays Center in 2025 and Madison Square Garden in 2026. In four years, Castro has moved from a Manhattan theater to selling out one of the market’s defining arenas.

That trajectory makes the MSG milestone more than another large concert announcement. Venue progression is one of the clearest ways to measure an artist’s development as a live draw, and Castro’s New York run shows a deliberate scaling of his touring footprint rather than an isolated jump into an arena. Selling out Madison Square Garden in a single day strengthens the case that his U.S. audience is increasingly capable of supporting major headline dates.

It also reflects the broader international growth of Colombian urbano. Castro has built an identity rooted in Medellín and reggaeton while developing a presence that can travel across major Latin music markets. Reaching Madison Square Garden places that evolution on one of the most visible stages available to a touring artist in the United States.

The achievement arrives during another important phase of Castro’s career. He recently received his first two Latin GRAMMY nominations, earning recognition for Best Urban Performance with “La Villa” and Best Urban Music Album for OMERTÀ, his collaborative project with J Balvin.

Together, the nominations and touring growth point toward two different forms of momentum. The Latin GRAMMY recognition gives Castro increased visibility within the recording industry, while the Madison Square Garden sellout demonstrates something equally important: direct demand from an audience willing to buy tickets at arena scale.

The timing is especially notable. Rather than treating the Los Chorros Con Richy Tour simply as an extension of a traditional album cycle, Castro is turning Richy, his recurring December persona, into part of his live identity. Bringing that concept into Madison Square Garden and Kaseya Center suggests an artist increasingly capable of building experiences around his own creative world rather than relying exclusively on individual releases.

Miami will provide the next major test when Castro brings the tour to Kaseya Center on December 19. With New York already sold out, the two December dates give him an opportunity to finish 2026 by reinforcing his position as one of Colombian urbano’s growing arena-level attractions in the U.S. market.
