The dream became a reality. With a packed venue and fans singing every song in unison, singer-songwriter Andrés Cepeda brought one of his most ambitious tours to a close in Bogotá. Nuestra Vida en Canciones culminated on Friday, December 13, at El Campín Stadium, in a unique show that kept audiences captivated from start to finish.
The performance was a heartfelt tribute to his homeland. Bogotá shone through the artist’s voice as he shared moments of deep emotion, expressing constant gratitude for the support he has received throughout his extensive career.
A stage set in the center of the stadium symbolized his closeness to the audience. From there, he performed on the piano and later, accompanied by mariachis, showcased his versatility.
The band TIMO, who opened this extraordinary evening, returned to the stage to join Cepeda in performing “Conquistar el Planeta.”
The celebration at El Campín gained momentum when a powerful Big Band took the stage. “Tolú,” the brilliant piece by Maestro Lucho Bermúdez, introduced an Andrés Cepeda immersed in the rootsy sounds of cumbia, tropical music, and bolero—genres that transported him to his childhood.
Committed to promoting new talent, Cepeda invited young singer Manú, who thrilled the crowd with Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough” before performing the duet “En Otra Vida” with Cepeda. Another special guest of the night was Alejandro Santamaría, with whom he performed “Magia.”
A standout aspect of the concert was Cepeda’s focus on showcasing the musicians of his official band, Banda Tostadita. Each member had their moment in the spotlight, elevating the performance and creating a dynamic, engaging show.
Having begun his career with friends, it was only fitting that the concert ended in the spirit of camaraderie. Members of his lifelong band, Poligamia, joined him to perform some of their most iconic songs. The night closed with Cepeda’semblematic track “Mi Generación,” accompanied by fireworks that lit up the sky under an expectant moon.
The tour, which spanned 14 cities, featured major venues including convention centers, bullrings, and stadiums. From Sincelejo to Montería, Cartagena, Pereira, Ibagué, Medellín, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Neiva, Bucaramanga, Manizales, Cali, and Bogotá, Cepeda toured his homeland once again, bringing together over 125,000 people for this musical celebration.
Looking ahead to 2025, Cepeda has announced the release of his album Bogotá and plans to take Nuestra Vida en Canciones to international audiences throughout the year.
