3x Latin GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter GALE (@GALE) unveils an emotionally-charged acoustic-pop anthem, “Sería Cool” sharing another taste from her forthcoming sophomore album. The heartfelt track from the Puerto Rican songstress blends softly sung melodies with a catchy, singalong chorus showcasing GALE’s signature ability to channel deep emotional truths through a pristine pop lens!

In “Sería Cool” GALE explores the bittersweet ache of imagining what could have been. The song dives into the quiet heartbreak that lingers not in what actually happened, but in the endless “what ifs” that haunt us after love is lost. With raw vulnerability and striking honesty, GALE captures the emotional weight of moving on while still longing for an alternate reality—one where things turned out differently, and love had a second chance.

Sonically, “Sería Cool” strips things back to the essentials, centering GALE’s voice alongside a gentle guitar-driven arrangement. The sparse production amplifies the emotional weight of the lyrics, letting each word land with clarity and resonance. This raw, intimate sound marks a refreshing departure from GALE’s more layered productions, highlighting her versatility and strength as both a vocalist and storyteller.

In GALE’s own words, “Sería Cool” is about a love that ended. About moving on with your life, but still wondering what things could’ve been like if the timing had been different. I wrote it from that kind of quiet heartbreak that’s hard to admit. Musically, it’s a strong 6/8 ballad with honest, clear, and direct lyrics. I’m so excited to share it with you. 💟”

Sería Cool” joins a streak of genre-blending releases sampling the next era of her music; including the introspective alternative pop track “YSILANDIA” featuring ROBI which ranked Top 10 on Billboard Latin Pop Airplay chart and also in Puerto Rico; the bubble-gum bop “Skittles;” and “Por Si Las Dudas” a collaboration with Lagos; all which preview GALE’s anticipated next project, which was already named one of Rolling Stone’s “Albums We Can’t Wait to Hear.”

This month, GALE joined the 2025 GRAMMY Camp hosted at the GRAMMY Museum’s expanded education program at Art House Studios in Miami to mentor the next generation of artists. GALE shared insights from her own journey as a songwriter of Latin GRAMMY-winning tracks, participating in a guest panel moderated by Billboard’s chief content office, Leila Cobo
GALE also hit her first South by Southwest this year, performing at Rolling Stone’s “Future of Music” showcase. While in Austin, she also stripped back and sampled three tracks from her recent catalog for PASTE Magazine // watch the session here//!
Superstar Shakira invited GALE to open for two stadium shows in Medellin, Colombia on tour. GALE also made waves on the Billboard charts last year with her reimagined cover of Shakira’s “Inevitable”, further solidifying her reputation as one of Latin music’s most versatile and dynamic voices.

If that’s not all, GALE is also a special guest judge for American Songwriter’s 2025 Song Contest, joining a diverse panel of industry voices helping spotlight rising talent. Beyond her own artist project, GALE writes hits with her peers including Shakira, as well as Christina Aguilera (which won a Latin GRAMMY for love best traditional pop vocal album), Anitta, Manuel Turizo, Aitana, and Juanes.

Reigned Rolling Stone’s “It Girl” in tandem with the release of her acclaimed and debut album, “Lo Que No Te Dije,” GALE’s 12-song debut project made  Rolling Stone’s “Best Albums” and Billboard’s “Best Latin Albums” mid-year and year-end lists. It tracked the multi-color shades of GALE’s journey; from fuck-you feminist punk anthems, vulnerable heartbreak ballads and even dream-pop odes to self-pleasure. A delicious mix of pop, eurodance, punk, grunge and urban-flow. Songs to repeat: “Nuestra Canción”, which ranked #7 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay chart, “Problemas”, which also rocketed to the Top 15, “Inmadura” and “D-Pic.” With her signature mix of vulnerability and strength, GALE transforms personal anxieties into a universal banger, further cementing her status as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary Latin music.
