Colombian artist Miguel Bueno continues to redefine Latin urban pop. His latest single, Miedo al Amor,” out today, blends romantic Afrobeat with touches of urban reggae, taking the genre in a fresh, more emotional direction. Written for those hesitant to fall in love again, the track marks Bueno’s most mature artistic moment to date. At just 24, he’s on a mission to break labels and reach new audiences with his evolving sound.

Joining him on this journey is Elkno. Hailing from Medellín, this young artist brings his signature Caribbean flow to the track, adding depth and energy to the song’s soundscape. With over one million monthly listeners on Spotify and recent hits like “La Reina,” Elkno’s urban/reggae influence enriches the collaboration.

Their joint effort results in “Miedo al Amor,” a ballad built on an Afrobeat foundation and anchored by raw, vulnerable lyrics like “TÚ NO LE TIENES MIEDO AL AMOR / A LO QUE LE TIENES MIEDO ES AMAR”(“You’re not afraid of love / What you’re afraid of is loving”). The song speaks directly to those who have been hurt before and are hesitant to open their hearts again. Its honest, empathetic lyrics are carried by a warm, understated production where Afrobeat rhythms and subtle reggae beats set the tone.

The official music video, produced by Wayti Records and directed by Chinotox and Marianita, brings the metaphor of emotional healing to life. Love is portrayed as a moving process: each box packed away represents a fear overcome, a past chapter closed, or a new opportunity for connection. The minimalist, aesthetic visuals complement the song’s intimate yet global sound.

Miguel Bueno releases “Miedo al Amor” after a summer playing in some of Spain’s most important musical festivals. He has steadily built his own career since his 2022 debut with “Fin de Semana” and the viral hit “Solcito,” a collaboration with Juan Duque. Other singles like “Fan de Tus Ojos” and “No te soltaré” positioned him as one of the rising voices in romantic Latin pop. With this new release, Bueno confirms his artistic growth, experimenting with global sounds while staying true to the honest storytelling that defines his music.

“Miedo al Amor” marks the start of a new chapter for Bueno, one where global beats meet everyday love stories told through his pop lens. Together, Miguel Bueno and Elkno deliver a track that encourages listeners to heal their hearts on the dance floor, embracing fear as just another step toward real love.
