The worlds of football and Latin music are about to collide in spectacular fashion. YouTube and the National Football League have announced that GRAMMY® Award-winning global superstar KAROL G will deliver the halftime show at the 2025 NFL São Paulo Game — the first NFL live broadcast to stream exclusively on YouTube.

Taking place Friday, September 5, 2025 at the Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil, the Week 1 showdown will feature the reigning AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs facing the Los Angeles Chargers. The entire game will be streamed free worldwide on YouTube, with pre-game coverage starting at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. BRT, and kickoff at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. BRT.

“I’m so excited to be part of YouTube’s first-ever NFL live broadcast. I’ve watched so many halftime shows, and now being able to bring my music to this global stage means the world to me,” said KAROL G.

With nearly 30 billion YouTube views and countless chart-topping hits, KAROL G is one of the most powerful forces in global music. Her latest album, Tropicoqueta, is a streaming powerhouse — over 1 billion streams across platforms — and has produced viral hits like “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” (947M+ views on YouTube). The project debuted in the Top 3 of the Billboard 200 and claimed her fourth consecutive #1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.

She also shattered her own record on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, landing 20 songs simultaneously, 18 of them from Tropicoqueta.

This historic game is part of YouTube’s growing collaboration with the NFL, redefining how fans connect with football. Last year, audiences watched 350 million+ hours of official NFL content on YouTube. The partnership, now in its third season with NFL Sunday Ticket, is bringing sports, music, and creator culture together like never before.

Angela Courtin, YouTube’s VP of Sports and Entertainment Marketing, called it “a landmark moment where football, music, and creators powerfully collide.”

The event will spotlight Latin American culture with a special in-game sound lineup. Ahead of kickoff, Brazilian star Ana Castela will perform the Hino Nacional Brasileiro (Brazilian National Anthem), while GRAMMY® and Emmy-nominated American composer Kamasi Washington delivers the U.S. National Anthem.

The NFL’s Tim Tubito noted, “With our incredible NFL fan base in Brazil and around the world, we wanted to honor Latin America’s sounds with a global icon like KAROL G.”
