Hailing from Barranquilla, Colombia, two-time Grammy-nominated artist-writer-producer Golden shares his impactful, new single “Quién la Mató?” and its companion video today viaPlatoon.
Despite its upbeat tempo featuring Latin rhythms and a unique spin on the Amapiano log drum, “Quién la Mató?” is a direct stand against domestic violence / violence against women. Directed by Bacci, the visual sees a young woman in Barranquilla living her everyday life; however, unbeknownst to her family, she is experiencing an abusive relationship. The song discusses how many women often experience these relationships in the shadows. Golden wanted to highlight the importance of being an ally and empowering survivors of domestic abuse.
