SANTANDER is entering a new phase of his career. The Venezuelan Latin pop singer-songwriter has signed an exclusive deal with Universal Music Latino, marking a significant step for an artist who has already built industry credibility behind the scenes as a songwriter for some of the biggest names in Latin music. The agreement also brings Latin GRAMMY-winning producer duo Vitto & Renzo into the project as creative A&Rs, positioning this next chapter as both a label move and a broader artist-development play.

The signing arrives at a moment when Latin pop is leaning heavily into writers who can move between emotional storytelling, radio-ready hooks, and cross-genre collaborations. For SANTANDER, that space is familiar. Before stepping forward as a performer, he developed a résumé that includes work connected to artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Danny Ocean, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Carlos Vives, Enrique Iglesias, Rawayana, Nicky Jam, Thalía, Ozuna, Fonseca, David Bisbal, Diego Torres, Álvaro Díaz, and Beéle.

That background gives this signing more weight than a standard emerging-artist announcement. SANTANDER is not arriving as an unknown voice looking for direction; he is entering the major-label system with years of songwriting experience, creative relationships, and a clearer understanding of how records move across the Latin market. His previous work, including contributions tied to Latin GRAMMY-recognized projects, has helped establish him as part of a newer generation of songwriters shaping contemporary Latin pop from the studio outward.

“I’m incredibly excited for this new chapter that I’ve been dreaming about since I was six years old,” SANTANDER said. “I can tell you that dreams do come true, and together with my Universal Music Latin family, I know we’re going to take over the world.”

The addition of Vitto & Renzo as creative A&Rs is especially notable. Rather than treating the deal strictly as a label signing, Universal Music Latino appears to be building the project around a more curated creative structure. Vitto & Renzo, known for their work with artists including Lasso, Aitana, and Thalía, bring producer instincts into the A&R process, helping guide the sound, concept, and long-term identity of SANTANDER’s next era.

“We’re very proud to be part of the Universal family in this new chapter,” Vitto said. “We’re excited to bring Santander to a major label like Universal and to have the right team supporting the growth of a project we deeply believe in.”

Renzo added that the move represents a full-circle moment with Universal Music Latino, describing artist development and connecting talent with the right team as an area they have long been passionate about.

For Latin music, this move reflects a larger industry shift: labels are increasingly investing in artists who already understand the mechanics of songwriting, collaboration, and global pop structure. In a market where genre borders between Latin pop, urbano, tropical, and alternative sounds continue to blur, SANTANDER’s value is not only his voice, but his ability to build songs from the inside out.

The signing also positions him at a critical point in his career arc. He is moving from respected songwriter to artist with major-label infrastructure, a transition that can either elevate a behind-the-scenes creative into a wider public identity or expose how difficult it is to convert writing credits into artist momentum. With Universal Music Latino and Vitto & Renzo attached, this next phase gives SANTANDER the platform to prove he can do both.

SANTANDER is now preparing new music under the agreement, setting the foundation for a new era aimed at establishing him as one of Latin pop’s most promising next-generation voices.
