For YELE, saying “I’m going with Jesus” is more than a statement of belief. It is a decision about identity, conviction and the willingness to stand behind faith regardless of how the world responds.

That idea drives “Voy con Jesús,” YELE’s new collaboration with Alex Zurdo, bringing together two generations of Latin Christian music for an urban record centered on openly living the Gospel without embarrassment. The single serves as the fifth preview of YELE’s upcoming project, 777, scheduled for release in September.

Built around contemporary urban production and direct lyricism, “Voy con Jesús” pushes against the idea that faith should shift according to trends, social expectations or circumstances. Instead, YELE and Alex Zurdo frame following Jesus as a permanent commitment — one that becomes more meaningful precisely when it requires going against the current.

“‘Voy con Jesús’ is a song that fearlessly expresses what we believe and who we have decided to follow,” the artists said in a joint statement. “In a world that constantly tries to tell us how to think, how to live and even what to believe, we want to raise our voices and say that we are not ashamed of Jesus. He is enough, and following Him is not a passing trend; it is a lifelong decision.”

The collaboration carries additional weight for YELE because of Alex Zurdo’s established position within Spanish-language Christian urban music. Rather than treating the pairing simply as a feature designed to expand the record’s reach, YELE sees it as a connection between an artist who influenced her and the new generation she now represents.

“Alex Zurdo has always been my favorite Christian urban music artist, so being able to have him on a song with me is literally a dream come true,” YELE said. “But what makes it even more special is being able to share such an important message with him through ‘Voy con Jesús,’ reminding different generations that we have no reason to be ashamed of the Gospel or of Jesus Christ.”

Zurdo similarly framed the collaboration around generational continuity.

“For me, it is also a joy to share this song with YELE, a very talented young woman who deeply loves God and has a passion for souls that I greatly admire,” he said. “I love seeing a new generation using their gifts to lead others to Jesus. I hope this song inspires many people to live their faith without fear, with joy, and without being ashamed of the One who was never ashamed of us.”

The generational component is important. Latin Christian music has increasingly absorbed the production language of mainstream urbano, pop and hip-hop without necessarily abandoning the message at its center. “Voy con Jesús” operates inside that space: contemporary enough to speak the musical language of younger listeners while remaining explicit about its Christian purpose.

For YELE, that makes Alex Zurdo more than a recognizable collaborator. His presence provides a bridge to an established era of Latin Christian urbano while allowing YELE to define what the genre can sound like for a younger audience. Rather than distancing herself from the Christian label in pursuit of broader positioning, the 777 rollout appears to be doing the opposite — making faith the foundation of the project’s identity.

That strategy has unfolded progressively. Before “Voy con Jesús,” YELE introduced the world of 777 through “Bueno,” “Tu Gracia,” “28/7” featuring Marcos Yaroide, and “Tu Amor.” Each release has added another piece to a project centered on personal conviction, spirituality and contemporary music.

The album’s title carries its own biblical symbolism. Within Christianity, the number seven is commonly associated with completeness and divine perfection, including through the creation narrative in Genesis. Naming the project 777 therefore reinforces the spiritual framework YELE has been establishing across its rollout.

The timing also places YELE within a larger opportunity for faith-based Latin music. As the boundaries between urbano, Latin pop and inspirational music continue to become more fluid, emerging Christian artists no longer have to approach contemporary production as something separate from ministry. Records can participate in the same musical conversations shaping younger Latin audiences while speaking directly about faith.

“Voy con Jesús” is therefore less about YELE attempting a crossover than establishing exactly where she stands. With an established figure like Alex Zurdo beside her, the single strengthens the positioning of 777 as a project that intends to make its Christian identity unmistakable rather than secondary.

With September approaching, the next test will be how those five singles function together as part of a complete album. If the rollout so far has established the message, 777 will have the opportunity to show the full range of YELE’s musical identity — and how a new generation of Latin Christian artists can carry faith-centered music forward without disguising what they believe.
